Check-In / Ticket Pick-up (Atlanta/Chicago)

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CHECK-IN / TICKET PICK-UP?

All tickets/wristbands may only be picked up by the original ticket purchaser or the guest listed on the purchase with matching photo (if picking up as a guest, reference original purchaser).

WHERE / WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY TICKETS?

All tickets / wristbands will be available for primary pick-up on-site prior to the event’s start (all times local).

For Yacht Party (Thursday), wristbands will be available in Chicago (DuSable Harbor, 9:30pm – 10pm) prior to boarding @10:15pm CST.

For Cubs vs. Brewers (Friday), tickets will be available in Wrigleyville (Brickhouse Tavern, 4pm – 7pm) prior to the game @7:05pm CST.

For Bus (Saturday), wristbands will be available in Chicago (Field Museum, 8am – 10:30am) prior to pre-game @9am and departure @11-11:30am CST.

For Tailgate Only (Saturday), wristbands will be available in South Bend (1441 N. Michigan St., look for the entrance at the large tents / Dawg Days will-call) when the tailgate officially starts @2:30pm EST.

ARE ANY OTHER TIMES / LOCATIONS AVAILABLE FOR TICKET PICK-UP?

CAN I GET A REFUND OR CHANGE NAMES ON THE TICKETS?

No, unfortunately Aug. 12 was the cut-off date for any refund or name change requests and due to the large volume being serviced and the necessary advanced preparation to ensure a well organized event, Dawg Days will not be able to accommodate any transfers or cancellations under any circumstances. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

No, everyone is welcome and this will be a casual mixer & home base to welcome all the Dawgs visiting Chicago to the local Chicago Dawg bar, co-hosted by your very own UGA Chicago Alumni Chapter!

Yes, this is open to anyone and all ages. With all the Dawgs in town, building capacity may be reached early.

Bus + Tailgate (Saturday, Chicago/South Bend)

WHEN IS GAMEDAY?

Saturday September 9, 2017 (8am-1:30am CST)

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR THE BUS+TAILGATE PASSES?

8am – 10:30am CST: Check-in w/ID (see ‘Check-In / Ticket Pick-Up’)

9am – 11am CST: Pregame party w/mimosas & bloody marys

11am – 11:45am CST: Buses board and begin departing Chicago

2pm – 3pm EST: Arrive in South Bend

2:30pm – 7:30pm EST: Tented tailgate party w/bottomless beer, catered gameday meal, live entertainment until kickoff.

7:30pm – 11:30pm EST (with game tickets): UGA vs. NOTRE DAME, Go Dawgs!

7:30pm – 11:30pm EST (without game tickets): Game viewing begins on-site at the tailgate (bottomless beer ends, cash bars + food available for purchase).

11:30pm – 12:30am EST: Begin loading and departure from South Bend.

HOW WILL BUS DEPARTURES WORK?

Everyone will be assigned a bus number (and receive a corresponding wristband) in Chicago and depart accordingly. Coming back from South Bend, buses will be filled first come, first served as soon as the game ends to get everyone back to Chicago as efficiently as possible. Everything will need to be taken off the bus upon arrival in South Bend as the buses will be locked throughout the day.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL ON THE BUS?

Yes, but no large coolers or glass of any kind will be permitted.

CAN I BRING MY COOLER / ALCOHOL INTO THE TAILGATE?

No, unfortunately the state of Indiana and the catering company we are contracting through do not allow outside beverages to be brought in. Coolers can be left outside the fenced tailgate perimeter.

WILL THERE BE RESTROOMS ON THE BUS & AT THE TAILGATE?

Yes, all buses are equipped with a lavatory on board and numerous port-a-lets will be on-site at the tailgate as well.

WILL THERE BE SEATING AT THE TAILGATE?

Yes, there will be numerous large tables with seating throughout the day.

WILL THERE BE SECURITY THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

Yes, private security as well as off-duty police officers have been hired in Chicago + South Bend to ensure everyone’s safety.

WHAT FOOD WILL BE SERVED?

The catered gameday meal will include pulled pork, hamburgers, boneless chicken wings, cheese toquitos, pasta salad, baked beans, vegetables and brownies. Food will be served ~2:30 (on bus arrival) – 4pm EST.

Additional food will be available for purchase on-site during the game viewing and Eddy Street Commons (a couple blocks away) has a variety of food options available as well.

WHAT ALCOHOL WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE TAILGATE?

Bottomless Bud Light + Shock Top beers will be served up until kickoff. Throughout the entirety of the day + game viewing, liquor / mixers and craft beer gardens will be available for purchase.

WILL THERE BE ANY CREDIT / CASH RESTRICTIONS?

Yes. Credit cards will be accepted at all bars. There will be no cash sales at bars but we will have a table set-up for cash drink ticket purchases.

HOW DO WE GET TO CAMPUS FROM THE TAILGATE?

Campus starts a short half mile from the tailgate location. The best route is to walk north out of the tailgate, cross N. Michigan St. at Dorr Road by the entrance to Holy Cross College and continue along Dorr Rd. until you enter campus.

Additionally, Dawg Days will be providing limited shuttle service to the library on campus near the stadium 3 hours prior to the game and 1 hour after.

DOES THIS INCLUDE A GAME TICKET?

We wish! Since we know a lot of people looking forward to the trip won’t have game tickets, we’ll have TVs throughout and play the game at the tailgate.

WHERE EXACTLY DO I PARK?

You will enter the parking lot adjacent to 1441 N. Michigan St. via S. Angela Blvd. Upon entering from S. Angela Blvd, you will see the large parking lot to your left and the main tailgate tenting straight ahead and to your right.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME TO PARK?

If you purchased car or limo/van/small bus parking, you will only need to check-in with the attendant upon entering and you will receive your parking pass and be directed to a space.

If you purchased bus parking, you should have your bus parking permit in advance and you will be directed where to park upon entering.

IS PARKING CLOSE TO THE TAILGATE?

Yes, parking is on-site and immediately adjacent to the Dawg Days tailgate.

Gameday (general FAQ)

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL GAME DAY WITH DAWG DAYS LOOK LIKE?

We start off with morning drinks and Dj at The Ivy Buckhead and then hop onto high-end coach buses as our pre-game to the tailgates! Rather you make your way to the stadium or stay at our exclusive tailgates, the party and atmosphere is unlike any other.

I’M A FAN FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL, CAN I JOIN THE PARTY?

Saturday game days with DawgDays are just as much about the experience as the game itself. That ol saying “Nothing’s finer in the land” rings true for the beautiful Dawg Days guests, the parties and of course, the scoreboard. Go Dawgs!

Tickets/Seating

I WANT TO SIT WITH MY FRIENDS, IS THAT GUARANTEED?

We send out bus assignments the Thursday before each game and make sure you and your friends are all on the same bus. If you know ahead of time friends you want to be with, feel free to send us an email at invite@dawgdays.org.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY TICKET ON SATURDAY?

We will have all names listed by bus numbers. Just bring your ID, no need for a printed ticket. Its 2015!

Something came up last minute, can I get my money back? While we do not offer refunds, we will allow someone else to take your place. Just email us the name and contact info (email) of the person taking your pass.

Travel (bus specific FAQ)

DO YOU RIDE IN THOSE SWEET COACHES I’VE SEEN WITH 50+ PEOPLE HAVING A GOOD TIME OR SOMETHING ELSE?

All our coaches are 50+ passenger and equipped with AC, music (duh), and a bathroom! Drinks are allowed on the bus!

CAN I BRING MY COOLER?

Yes, feel free to bring a small cooler for the ride (must fit under bus seat). Larger coolers will not be allowed on the bus and not allowed in most bars or tailgate events.

I’M NOT GOOD AT LOOKING AT THE WEATHER FORECAST, CAN I LEAVE MY JACKET AND JACKET ON THE BUS?

You will be on the same bus to and from however leaving any items on the bus is at your own risk.

Each event trip is custom designed based on time of the game, location, and hype. We like to provide a unique experience for each event and plan a fun season throughout!

Post-Trip
